Real Techniques

Quite recently I decided to treat myself with a few new brushes. I looked into a lot of different brush makes in extreme detail, and Real Techniques came out on top. I cannot express how much these brushes have changed my life.
Real Techniques divide their brushes into three different colours which code for what they are best used for. The golden colour is to create a flawless base, purple is for enhanced eyes and pink is for the perfect finish.

The first brush I bought was the blush brush which I actually use mainly for bronzer. The bristles are so soft against my skin. I really like how they have a flat base so you can stand them all up neatly together.

This is the expert face brush, the thing that has changed my life. As it is an expert face brush, it can be used for just about anything. I tend to use it to blend in my concealer and to apply foundation as I prefer it to a regular foundation brush. It gives such a great finish and really gets the product well buffed into the skin. I also tried it out for contouring and enhancing my cheek bones with my bronzer and it also worked really well, however this isn't what I'm going to use it for.

I really do take my hat off to Sam and Nic Chapman who have worked very hard on this brush line to make them perfect.

Here are a few links to their work;

These girls are great, and as are their tutorials on their YouTube channel, where you can see how to use all of their brushes properly to become a pro like them!

I hope you all enjoy this post as much as I enjoy their brushes!
Much love,

What I Bought At Ikea

Hey everyone!

Today's weather was pretty rubbish (as always) so my family and I decided to spend the afternoon in Ikea! I had seen many bloggers and YouTube gurus saying about how they got these beautiful pot plants from Ikea that they use for their make up brushes, so I set out to look for them!

I scanned through the whole of Ikea and I was about to lose hope until I found them in the last section of the shop. The colours were either cream, pastel pink or mint green. I had only ever seen YouTubers and bloggers with the cream ones so I decided to mix it up and get one cream and one pastel pink. They were sooo cheap (only £2 each!!!). They were in three sizes so I went for the smallest size which were quite big anyway!

I really wanted to get the largest size in mint green as well for £4 for my nail polishes but I really don't need it! I already have a beautiful little pot for all my nail polishes, but if my collection gets too big then I know for definite where I will be going to get a larger pot!

In Ikea I also bought two large boxes which I can use as a memory box and put in things like little holidays presents and cinema tickets and basically things which remind me of good times! This was £3 for the two but I decided to give one to my little sister. It was also fun having to figure out how to assemble them too!

Thanks guys for reading, and I hope you enjoyed!xo
