Face Wipes

Hello everyone!

So today I'm here to write a post for you all to tell you about the face wipes I tend to use. As you may or may not know, I have really sensitive skin when it comes to make up removers or make up wipes.

The face wipes I used to use were the Boots Essentials Cucumber Wipes, but they really really irritated my skin and made it sting a lot. The stinging would go away after I rinse my face with cold water but when it was stinging, it was really unbearable! This really annoyed me about those wipes because I love cucumber scented products.

I then tried a few other wipes and then decided that the Boots Essentials Fragrance Free Wipes were really good, and they didn't irritate my skin! They're the same price as the Boots Cucumber Wipes (£1.50, however they are currently on offer for £1) and you get 25 wipes with each packet.

These affordable wipes do the job just as well as any other set of face wipes and I'm not really into paying a lot of face wipes as they get used up so quickly so these ones are just perfect!

I hope you really enjoyed this post, and please let me know if you use any affordable and fragrance free wipes and what brand they are!

Much love,

Post-Exercise

Hello my lovelies!

If you have read some of my tags that I have done and answered questions in, then you will know that I am heavily involved in sport, which means I have to spend a lot of my summer going out for runs and keeping fit and healthy!

Therefore..I decided to write a very short post on what I do before and after I exercise.

Before exercising, I always make sure to wash my face and tie my hair up really tightly. I make a good playlist on my phone and put my earphones in, choose a comfy running outfit to wear and then I go for a run. Today I went for a very relaxing 2.5 mile run just to get me back into the way of fitness as I had taken a bit of a break from it to recover.

After I come back from my run, I make sure to drink A LOT of water! I would run myself a very big, warm and relaxing bath, making sure to bring a bottle of water with my to remain hydrated.

The products that I used in my bath today were my current face washes (Simple Moisturising Facial Wash and Clean and Clear Blackhead Clearing Daily Scrub), my new Greek Olive Oil Soap and a Tresemme Deep Smoothing Hair Masque which I actually used after my bath along with my Face Food Orange and Vitamin C face mask. I obviously also used shampoo and conditioner but these will be revealed in a separate post!

After I got out of my bath and was doing my face mask, I moisturised my whole body with the Dove Moisturisor.

I then proceeded to relax in my room, listened to music and began to blog!

I hope you enjoyed this post, love you guys!xo

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

I was out shopping with my mum yesterday and I happened to pick up the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. I had seen many YouTubers and bloggers say about how great this product was so I thought I would try it out for myself! The RRP of this product is £4.99 but I found it as it was on offer for £3.99.

My first impressions of this product before using it was that the packaging was really simple and cute, which really sold the product to me! As I bought it, I intended on using it when removing heavy eye make up after a night out as it takes me numerous make up wipes to take my eye make up off so I thought this would be more cost effective and I would continue to use make up wipes to remove my face make up.

As soon as I came home from shopping, I immediately decided to try it out, however I was only wearing light concealer and very little mascara. The cleansing water was so refreshing on my eyes and I must admit that I did get it in my eyes also, and it didn't sting whatsoever! It worked really well on removing my very light make up, so I then decided to put it to the test the next day where I applied very heavy eye make up which I would typically wear on a night out.

I applied my make up and wore it for a few hours to simulate being out to get an accurate result. I simply poured some of the product onto a cotton pad and started wiping at my eyes, first removing my eyeshadow, then eyeliner and then mascara. I personally struggle when removing my mascara as I tend to apply a lot of it when going out as I like my eyes to have a lot of volume to them.

This product worked incredibly. It wasn't like any other make up remover I've tried as it is obviously a cleanser too. It only took me one cotton pad for each eye to remove my make up and barely any of the cleansing water. Once I removed my eye make up fully, I went around my eye-area and removed my concealer below my eyes and the make up on my eyebrows. I was also wearing a pink lip stick stainer which is completely impossible to remove with a regular make up wipe or water, however the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water worked a dream for this.

Once I was finished, I simply used one make up wipe to remove the rest of my make up on my face. I then splashed cold water all over my face, patted it dry with a towel and got one final cotton pad and put the cleansing water all of my face to finish, and allowed it to dry in itself. This allowed my skin to recover from wearing the make up, and then I later moisturized my face!

This product is just so perfect and I really do love it! It has definitely become one of my essential make up must haves! Please comment to let me know what you think about it if you've bought it as well! I really hope you enjoyed this review and thank you so much for reading until the end!xo

Hey guys! My name is Ellen and I've decided to start a blog to share my passion for make up and cosmetics. I will be posting regularly with reviews of drugstore and high end make up products, and also recent hauls. I may include a few posts on fashion, such as a GRWM (Get Ready With Me). Hopefully I can gain your support as I begin to do something that I love! Thanks guys, xo
